Sensitivity

"Acting is all about truth and honesty, and the sensitivity that's capable of transporting you." - Thomas Kretschmann

Senses dictate perception, and limits of sensitivity dictate one's response to sight, sound, and touch. It's nature's flourish of color, particularly, in summer that brands the desire to experience. New tastes, new feels, new places, new limits. And with that challenge of color - especially for those of us who can't resist the brace of action - comes a response with shades of marigold, orange, purple, and green. I go to Pittsburgh nearly every summer to visit family, but this trip was different. Not only did I get to spend time with a side of my family I hardly ever see, but the trip itself was geared entirely around pieces of the city we never get a chance to see. The surprising charm of Shady Side's shops tailored exclusively to, not only couture and high-priced designer constructs, but second-story yoga studios and all-green markets. The Phipps conservatory provided a world of natural splendor right in the middle of the city's most urban landings. The heavy air bore a distinction of summer rare to the open, coastal New England climates, but it was a weight not unwelcomed. (It just meant shorter hemlines and more fluent fabrics.)

This trip - as well as the breathing room period I received away from the internet - allowed me to reevaluate how I wish to present myself through my blog.I know I've said before how I wish to exemplify my more artistic nature, but I think I'm finally ready to take that step into more sophisticate, and artistically inclined content.  I've carefully been adding in a few new monthly routines, as you know, but I've also been working on a new layout and a new angle at photography.  This is my first experimentation with posting in that photographic angle - you do you like it?  I think it's much more personal, much more sophisticated and mature, and much more me.  :)  She says as she ends with an emoticon... of course.

First of all what a beautiful place, I could 'taste' summer through the photographs.

Second, I know what you mean in that a little getaway can bring perspective (and even inspiration to a blog). I am actually thinking now on how to give my blog more of a 'twist' to show more of my creative side as well and give it more of my personality (harder than it looks!).

Started with a fresh new layout and already I feel the change coming, so yes highly recommend it!

OK sorry I just blaaabbbbed ;)

@ Paola: No, no, no, you are never blabbing! Honestly, I take your reception to heart and I'm glad you took the time to give me some feedback. (It only compels my want for change further, especially considering how beautiful your blog makeover was!) Thank you! Heading over to your blog now ;)
