Hazy Laughter... and Fancier Things

Scene set: a ballroom graced by the elites of golden adorned caliber; a girl on the outskirts, longing to be part of the world in front. It's a world she doesn't understand, doesn't necessarily commend, but one she painstakingly yearns for.  F. Scott Fitgerald described this scene as a haze of laughter, an air of uneasy determination, an alluring mystery of captivation. His short story, "Bernice Get's a Bob", is a coming of age tale that characterized both society's standstill and its raging desire to surpass social norms.

Everybody desires expression as much as they seek belonging. Idyllic, true, and history may show one has a tendency to prevent the other. But this blog is my way of verbally and physically connecting my expressions. Through photography, fashion, illustration, and written word, my blog presents an art of my own creation.

In short? I love writing. I love the ability clothing has to define a mood and speak the words I can't say. Clothing is the vehicle of my expression and writing is the road. This blog is my style and my style is me.
